Starting a Metabolism Reset today. I will be upping my calories to 1800 net (sedentary TDEE) gradually this month, possibly higher, and then dropping it down to 1400 net (BMR) next month and staying there. We all need to stop abusing our bodies, there is a reason we plateau even though we are clearly under eating enough to see results. Stop hurting your body and start nourishing it. You'll be amazed at what will happen when you give your body what it needs.

YEP! I did EM2WL... upped my cals to my TDEE at about 2600 from 1200...gained 4lbs while my body was "resetting" even though I did not eat enough to gain 4lbs. After about 4 weeks I leveled out so I cut back to a little over 2000 and I lost 3lbs that first week! Don't starve yourselves!!

It takes energy to burn energy!
  • Wondering if I should try this , I have been eating about 1400 calories a day for the past 2 years and when I started working out added with my Calorie Counting , Nothing happened ! So I am wondering if my body is used to that many Calories and I need to up it to reset it to finally lose weight . How much should I be eating ? 5 Foot 6 , 175 lbs , working out 4-5 times a week ..........

Wow.... All these posts must be a sign and how my body is reacting to what I'm doing to it. I gradually need to eat how I use to again. I got too obsessed.

I was eating around 1,200 - 1,300, sometimes 1,400 and rarely going up to 1,500. My calories change each day but not by too much. I'm obviously still eating too low for wanting to rebuild lost muscle.

I gained fat, I'm really squishy and flabby, mushy, weak, bigger, more cellulite, lose skin, hair falling out, breakouts, dry skin, depression, feeling dizzy, nauseous, fog headed, shaky, moody, ect.

I'm not sure how much more I should be eating to gradually do it because Im assuming eating like I use to our if nowhere will be a shock to my body and just store it all? Does it work that way or will I be fine with fat? I don't want anymore of it but if I do, do you think it'll be easy enough to burn off because I'm eating more? Remember I want to repair my body and rebuild my muscles back and get my shapely lean body back....

A few months ago, I was doing a free program. A 30 day challenge with Bodyrock and I never upped my food intake to support my training thinking it was fine. I didn't rest enough, either. That's what did it. And I never knew and still don't know how much I was burning. Who knows, I could have burned off an entire meal I ate with one session of Bodyrock so it was like I never ate lunch or breakfast.

Same thing I want to know. How much should I be eating now to get the results I want both physically and mentally? I don't even have the drive, energy or motivation to workout anymore. All I've been doing for weeks is sitting mostly. I have done a complete workout in awhile and I know that's not good but I physically can't...

Everyone... if you're interested search "Eat More To Weigh Less" in the groups, and there's LOTS of information, support, etcetera.

Just think... do you ENJOY eating 1200-1400 calories per day?

When I upped my calories, I felt stronger, healthier, refueled and my stamina improved so much!! You WILL be glad you did it!

I'm going to try an up my calories I burn quite a lot I always eat my fill never go hungry always always over 1200 cals usually around the 1400 mark but last month not losing anything have changed my workouts' to insanity and my eating healthy lifestyle got lost a bit but I am determined to get back on track and think I am going to start trying to eat back my exercise cals which I haven't really done before but obviously I need to change something

great thread it's good to read how increasing cals has helped some people I am a little nervous to do this
