I made this last night with my sweet potato fries.
It was great, and the kids enjoyed it too.
1 lb lean ground turkey
1 zucinni (spell) grate it with your cheese grater
2-3 cloves of galic minched or you can grate
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 carrot grated
1/2 tsp grill seasoning
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
in a pan over high heat add just a tad of I can't believe it's not butter light.
add all your veggies and cook for just about 2 minutes.
in another bowl add all the spices to the turkey then the veggies.
Mix well.
make patties-they will feel very wet and sloppy
In a hot skillet add 2 tbl olive oil-allow to get hot-over high heat
add your patties to the oil and do not touch for at least 2-3 minutes.
This is the key to keeping your patties from falling apart
Flip and do the same to the other side.
After both sides are seared, cover and reduce heat to med-low and cook til no longer pink.
Remove from pan and place on a paper towel until all the oil is absorbed.
I did not use a bun, but I did add condiments and wrapped in a leaf of lettuce.
Very tasty

grating the veggies is a good idea I didn't think of that.
I'm going to cook up some turkey meat, grate the veggies, and some garlic, and two tablespoons of terakayi sauce, and a few dashes of lite soy sauce. Once everything is cooked I'm going to place the mix miture inside of some lettuce - my own verison of lettuce wraps. Dab a little of hot asian hot sauce I keep on hand for extra spice..... thanks for the veggie ideas.0 -

I love making different types of turkey burgers and this sounds awesome! My hubby is a big guy with a giant appetite, so I am always searching for foods that will satisfy him and be healthy, too. Renee, I noticed you said you used a lettuce leaf- great idea! Another one that works well is a portobella mushroom cap. I got the trick from Rachael Ray... she took the caps and broiled them for about 7 to 8 minutes and used that as the "bun" for the burger. I topped it with arugula and sliced tomato and my husband ate 2 and was stuffed.
