Food while traveling

Hello all!

I'm hoping I can get some insight. I have to travel about 3.5 hours away for work this coming week. Previously, I'd been staying in a hotel with a microwave, which made it pretty easy to eat well and avoid fast food.

Well, that hotel is booked up this week (the nerve!), and I will be staying in a different one with a small fridge, but no microwave.

So I turn to the forums in the hope that someone might have some suggestions on stuff I could bring for tasty and healthy dinners. Breakfast and lunch I have pretty well covered, but dinner is kind of stumping me. Thanks in advance!

  • If you can only bring refrigerated stuff I would stick to making wraps or a pita. Just buy some cold deli meat like turkey, fat free cheese if you want, lettuce, tomatoes, whatever else you like and then buy yourself some fruit if you think you still might be hungry. When on road trips I usually pack a combination of stuff that's bad and good for you. I pack in a lunch box, olive, mini low fat cheeses, crackers, fruit, deli meats, chips :(, and lots and lots of water and coffee. I hope this helped!
