My new COACH bag just arrived! O happy day!! If anyone wants a secret invite to their online sale of items before they are sent out to the Outlets, PM me your personal email address and I will send you an invite. I waited 6 months before they finally accepted my request! BUT I just purchased a $260 bag, marked down to $190 - then also got 30% off! shell ya.

    So, I've always wondered what this allure of bags (and shoes) are for women? My wife has 2 (not Coach) but I have several female relatives that SPEND A LOT on bags and shoes that basically sit in the closet that number pretty high.


    Edit: If some aren't aware of it, you can actually RENT designer handbags now.

    SHOES : your shoe size never changes. Shoes dont make you feel fat. You can buy shoes on a fat day, or a skinny day. They are pretty. They make us happy.

    Bags: Its like a guys, "my penis is bigger than your penis" type of thing. And they make us so so happy! ugh they are so pretty!

    Example: Girl walks into bar with FAB designer bag. Immediately, I say to all my GF's omg, look at that bag. she must be fabulous, just like her fab bag. I must have it as well!! no, wait, I need the TOTE version THE BIGGER THE BETTER!!

    I cant possible be the only woman who thinks this way.

    My shoe size has changed as I've gained and lost weight over the years. :( I have a lot of cute shoes that are literally a half size to a full size too big now. I am SO GLAD I never spend a lot of money on shoes...lmao

    ^ Absolutely. I don't have to be skinny to wear hot shoes or carry a fab bag. And as far as Coach goes, they last FOREVER. My cobalt patent Maggie looks as good today as she did three years ago when I bought her.

    Nope, it's the bag and the shoes that make me feel good. It's a personal thing. And FYI, I only have one Coach with the signature pattern and I don't carry it often. I'm not one to be a show off.

    Wrong, wrong, wrong. Shoe size absolutely does change. If you gain a bunch of weight and can't fit into your shoes how great is that going to make you feel?

    I love shoes and handbags, i bought my 2nd coach last month and i LOVE it. I get the invites too but i like being in the store. We have an outlet near by and when they have an extra 50% off clearance plus another 30% off of that, i'm IN~ lol. It's my splurge. But as i said i only have 2 and i bought them 1 1/2 years apart from each other.

    I guess I am in the minority, never cared about shoes or bags. Wal mart purse is fine by me and I am happiest in my tennis shoes(actually bare foot is even better!)!

    Yes, I sure did!! In my defense, I work full time at a financial planning company. Shoes & Bags are something I like to splurge on. I work part time at a bar a few weekends/month to fund stuff like trips, purses, that extra pair of boots I really dont need. Oh, and my savings account :) - thats the most important!

    I enjoy them.

    I dont think my shoes size ever really changed when I gained about 30 lbs, or when I lost it all. I know though I float from a 9-10 in different shoes. And I also have never had kids :)

    I agree, when you take care of them, they last FOREVER! Kind of like silver jeans, or jeans from the buckle. Expensive, but they will last!

    Plus coach has a life time guarantee on their items! If they break or whatever you just gotta go to a coach store and they will send it in for repair for FREE, all you gotta do is pay shipping. That alone is worth it to me. I would rather spend this 1 time then having to buy 5 different bags

    One must have the perfect bag or several to match and express her personality and style! They change with seasons just like clothes. It is an essential piece. As for the price, I really believe that this is an instance where it is quality that is most important.Obviously the best brand is whatever you prefer, but I have a coach bag that I am still using that is 3 years old. Thats a long time for a purse (and for me!) I love quality bags. If your shoes and bags sit in the closet, you are doing it wrong!
