Support system wanted! 26/f PCOS

Hello!

I signed up a while ago but just started actively participating on these boards. I'm a 26 year old graduate student. I have PCOS and have found it incredibly difficult to lose weight. I gained about 100 pounds in a year and haven't been able to get rid of it in the last few years. Admittedly I basically gave up on ever being able to lose the weight after trying hard to lose it immediately after being diagnosed... but I have a new level of motivation and this time I am not giving up!!

I would love to meet some like-minded people who can help to keep me motivated to work out and eat well. I'm always open to lighthearted non-weight loss conversation as well!

Currently I have been using Chalean Extreme (weight lifting) and using an exercise bike. I may be adding in elliptical exercise as well. I love to chat, let's support each other!

  • Hello to you too!

I signed up a while back as well and have yet to speak in any forum.

I'm also 26, a budding architect in Massachusetts and I'm having a hell of a time losing weight.

I exercise every day, alternating going to the gym (eliptical, racquetball, and moderate weight lifting) with outdoor exercise at home (basketball, kayaking and biking). I'm also thinking of getting into swimming.

I'd love to talk to you about positive reinforcement instead of some of the hardcore "just do it" attitude you see so often in these forums.

Thanks for posting and I hope to talk to you soon!

    Good luck!
