Never hold anyone else accountable...

Sad that some people on here based from my own observation solely "depend" on others to motivate them to push through but gets frustrated right away when they don't get the attention they were looking for and held those people responsible for it.
It's good to have a support system and tool like MFP to help us get motivated and push through with but at the end of the day we are the only one responsible whether we succeed or not.I look at it as my own personal journey I don't let anyone be held accountable with my own action.
This will take us back to our goal as to why we wanna stay healthy, why are we busting our butt off to workout. Why are we doing it? How can we navigate our way to achieving our goal?...Nothing bad about looking for support ok? I get that but to get frustrated about it and to actually held that person responsible is a no no we need to gravitate more towards focusing with our own self improvement instead of wasting our time criticizing others. That's it I'm done...

i completely agree!! while we can be inspired or motivated by others, in the end, it's what we do with those feelings.0

Couldn't agree more!!!! It seems like there are folks who are always looking for someone else to "blame" when things don't go right, my sister being one of them. It takes the responsibility off of themselves. Reminds me of people blaming McDonald's advertising for making them fat. I'm sorry.....It must have been so traumatic when Ronald McDonald jammed that Big Mac and fries down your throat!
This is a journey of self discovery.....It is not easy to face what is hard in your life and we ALL need support. No one can do this alone but if you are relying on the attention of others to get your through the day there is clearly more going on in your life than extra pounds. Get help but MFP isn't the tool for that kind of support.0 -

Very well put. This is something that I try to explain to people: You have to really want this. You are the one who is doing it. No one can do it for you. Concerning yourself about what others are doing is not going to do anything for you.0 -
Agreed! When I lost my 70lbs in the 80s I didn't have any of this! It's nice to have support and ppl with common interests but if we were suddenly to lose internet forever I'd still be working out lol. You can't depend on people, they are fallible and will always disappoint b/c they're human...0

I know right? had to say something because I am tired of it seriously...though I try to be extra careful explaining it to those much younger people because honestly they're the ones who are in need of more clarity and good sense of advice and tend to be lot more sensitive than those who are more experienced in life like me Lol! ok I'll say it..older! haha!
Basically just using a fair sense of judgement goes a long way too...but just like everybody else on here I'm going through my own journey as well and can be tough at times we are all in this together aren't we? but ultimately we cannot rely on anybody else but our self Oh goodness gracious I've said way too much already haha! Hope you're all doing well today!!!0 -
Support from others is a great tool and we all need it...Success Comes from within...you have to believe and want it!0
