HELP NEEDED!!!! Should I Diet on Vacation??

K, so I need some help here. I'm on vacation in Montana, where the nearest town is about 2 miles away, and I just found this Military diet thing where you can drop 10 pounds in 3 days and its like approved by the heath people and everything.

So what I'm wondering is, should I start it even though I'm on vacation? Or wait till I go home?

The only problem is, is that I don't know when I'll be going home AND I'll basically have to walk EVERYWHERE when my grandparents aren't around because I didn't bring my car, so I'll get good exercise. I did my research on this diet ans it sounds lagit, but its INTENSE!

It's where you do this diet for three days, eat normal for 4 then go back to the diet and then so on and I heard that you could drop 40 lbs in 3 months on this and dieting for only 3 day intervals sounds amazing and easy enough.

Basically what I'm asking is if you think I should do it now, while on vacation, or later when I get home, when ever that is....

My mom sent me up here to 'find myself' so I really will have a lot of alone time meaning time to develop my healthy dieting while I'm up here, but what do you think???

This is the diet:
3 DAY DIET

DAY 1: Breakfast--1/2 Grapefruit, 1 Slice Toast, 2 Tablespoons of Peanut Butter, and Coffee or Tea Lunch--1/2 Cup of Tuna, 1 Slice of Toast, and Coffee or Tea
Dinner--2 Slices of any type meat (About 3 ounces) 1 Cup of Green Beans, 1/2 Banana, 1 Small Apple, and 1 Cup of Vanilla Ice Cream (YUM)!!! Tip to Try: Warm the apple and/or banana and eat them over the ice cream. Delicious!

DAY 2: Breakfast--1 egg, 1 Slice of Toast, and 1/2 Banana
Lunch--1 Cup of Cottage Cheese (Or 1 Slice of Cheddar Cheese, 1 Hard Boiled Egg, and 5 Saltine Crackers
Dinner--2 Hot Dogs, (no buns), 1 Cup of Broccoli, 1/2 Cup of Carrots, 1/2 Banana, and 1/2 Cup of Vanilla Ice Cream

DAY 3: Breakfast--5 Saltine Crackers, 1 Slice of Cheddar Cheese, and 1 Small Apple
Lunch-1 Hard-Boiled Egg, and 1 Slice of Toast
Dinner--1 Cup of Tuna, 1/2 of a Banana, and 1 Cup of Vanilla Ice Cream

Please let me know what you think!!!I'm 17 years old, currently only about 6 lbs away from weighing in at 200lbs and i have a size 8 dress waiting for me at home. I really need to find something that works for me, so hopefully this is it. Thank you!

I am not a big fan of diets which tell you exactly what and how much you eat. They are not sustainable.

If I were you, I would rather focus on what you eat and the portion sizes, so you learn how to eat for the rest of your life.
    Because: It's a lifestyle, not a diet!

You said that you walk a lot, which is great exercise! This plus a healthy diet will help you drop the pounds.

Good luck with whatever you choose to do!

Diets do not help lifestyle change helps I have lost 75lbs with changing the way I eat no sugars except from natural sources like fruits, no processed foods salty or greasy foods and once in a while I go without breads to shock my body from plateauing . All natural foods as possible lots of vegtables and at least 3 liters of water . I exercise 6 days a week and lift weights 3 times a week . The only way of changing it is finding balance the diet you are going on is missing alot of nutrition your body needs. Hope this helps .

Love life, eat clean , train hard. PUSH foward
  • Best wishes on finding yourself in Montana. (I truly mean that - not being snarky)

I say don't do it at all.
I know that wasn't one of the choices but it's my opinion based on a lifetime of trying these quick fix diets that simply don't work long term.

You cannot fail if you are patient, log your food and stay within your parameters, exercise and think of this as a true lifestyle change (as cliche as it sounds)

PS - I would love to know what "health people" approve of this diet.
