pros/cons to working out EVERY day?

So here's the deal, I don't do strength training every day, more so just when I feel like it but every evening I walk 4.3 miles at a brisk pace with many hills etc. so it's a very good work out. Every time I feel like my workout is getting too easy I push my distance just a little farther so right now I'm up to 4.3 miles per day. I don't ever feel too tired to do my workouts and I see them as "me time" where I can just collect my thoughts.

So my question is, is it bad to do cardio every single day? What are the pros and cons? Right now I'm kind of just listening to my body and I'm never tired of working out or feel that I need an off day, I love it. But I hear people saying all the time that you "need rest days".

Side note: I'm not "upping" my calories, I stay anywhere between 1200-1500 per day and I don't eat back the calories that I burn.

you can easily do low intensity cardio like walking every day for quite a while without needing a break.

When you start doing higher intensity stuff like heavy lifting, sprints, jumps etc then rest becomes essential.

Just follow what your body tells you, you don't necessarily need rest days but there are certain times when they make sense.

Walking everyday is not only okay, it 's a really good idea. every other day is for strength training or much more intense cardio.

I do cardio everyday. I ride my bike for 30-60 min depending how how my body feels. I have high anxiety and refuse to take meds so I self medicate with exercise.
