If you have worked out with kettlebells, can you recommend a program or website? What are the advantages of this workout method? Thanks!

I like the "Minute of Strength" videos on this site. They also sell some DVDs. I have one I really like.

Although this site is designed a bit odd, Enter The Kettlebell is a good book on kettlebell training. There are also other books on the site as well. I've heard the DVDs aren't as good as the books and I have one DVD which is kind of cheesy.

If you can, I'd recommend seeing if you could take a class somewhere as it is easy to screw up your form, especially if you watch someone like Jillian Michaels attempt kettlebells.

Advantage of kettlebells is it is a cardio and a whole body strength building workout. It can be very effective. I'm a big fan myself.
  • Thank you for your response! I'm going to check those sites out. I'm intrigued by the kettlebells :)

I've been using kettlebells for a couple of months now and love them! The workout is great, and I've definitely noticed a difference. I'm losing more inches now also.

I like the Iron Core kettlebells DVDs - you can get a set of 4 for like $12 on amazon, also the instructor in the DVDs wrote the Kettlebells for dummies book which has a lot of good info with clear descriptions of the moves etc.

I have the KettleWorX set. I don't do it as much as I am supposed to be but am trying to pick it up more. I am not good with self-motivation so I need a DVD to keep me on track otherwise I just swing the darn thing around and don't accomplish much of anything.
