what do you do for refueling on those "longer runs"

when i run longer runs (over 10miles) i have been using the power bar and stinger balls during those times and wondered what everyone else was doing? i went to the grocery today and bought a box of marathon snicker bars for when i am running those 16 milers but i am not certain if they are just "glorified" candy bars (guess i should have researched this before the purchase)....anyway...

thoughts?

    I like the Snickers Marathon bars for PRE run (about 30 minutes prior), but for me it's just too gummy and dry for DURING the run. I stick with PowerBar energy gels, typically every 45-50 minutes, and I also use Nuun electrolyte tablets in the water I take with me.

    I use jelly babies! I take a stash and have 1-2 every 3 miles or so. They really keep me going.

    I also have a gel immediately before leaving the house and take a sports drink with me, plus money to get a bottle of water en route.

    Try to find GU. They are easy to carry and they provide the best forms of sugar. Some of them have caffeine. Good flavors are espresso love, chocolate outrage, and blueberry pomegranate. Also, the mini bananas are great bc they help your stomach and can be carried in a small running pouch.
