Glucosamine

Has anyone had good results (or bad) using Glucosamine for joint pain/arthritis? I have arthritis in both knees and a seriously arthritic shoulder, looking for some relief.

I'd like to hear your feedback. I've also heard that Tumeric could helpful. I'm not really big on supplements but there's not much out there for arthritis that actually seems to work either prescription or over the counter. Damn old joints.....

Apparently this stuff helps with the "appearance" of cellulite also! Not sure why I haven't ingested a truckload, but just thought I would pass that along.

I drank "Joint Juice" brand daily for about eight months. Might've been mostly mental, but I felt like it was helping my knees a lot! Got to the point that I felt I didn't need it anymore though, after I took off the extra pounds I was trying to run with.

Thanks for the tip Maggie! It's good know it has multi-purpose use.

I've got arthritis too so I feel for you. I do take a glucosamine/chondroitin supplement, but I honestly haven't felt any difference. I've read lots of anecdotal stuff about it making a lot of difference to people, but I haven't felt it. Both my GP doc and my ortho surgeon (both knees replaced this past winter due to arthritis) said that the reviews/research is mixed, and that it may or not may not help, but it could stop it from getting worse. So that's why I take it - to stop it from getting worse.
