Hi All

Not sure if im in the right forum...Im looking for some advice for "honeymooners". Been with my bf for 9 months now, and 2 stone later I need to shift this extra weight. I've given up smoking so used that as an excuse but Its time to be realistic....

Anyone else eben in the same position, and how did you combat it, the bf isnt weight concisous at all, (hes got a big appetite and doesnt care what weight he is) so getting him to diet isnt going to work?!!?! x

No matter how much your boyfriend diets, you will not lose weight. :flowerforyou:

How has your diet changed since you've been together? Is it because you eat out more often? Have you adopted his bad eating habits? The answer to that will tell you what you've got to do.

Oh my god.....I have done exactly the same thing.
My now husband is a rugby player and now coach. He eats whatever he wants and his portions are huge...consequently mine have also been.....3.5 years together and 5 stone heavier I decided enough was enough (husband has also now put on three!).

No more fancy restaurants.....all day cafe/bar chill outs.....

We have joined a gym together so we now go together. My husband is a PE teacher so helps me with fitness.
I do all the food shopping online so he does not have the chance to put lovely things in the trolley.
We have set ourselves a goal and are looking at booking a backpacking holiday to the USA as a reward.

......honestly.....if we both have the urge to order a pizza in front of the TV late at night.....well.....we have sex. If we still want the pizza after - which we never do - we would order it!!!!!

Talk to your other half and ask him to support you....friends of mine have bought mountain bikes and go riding together.
Another couple has bought a Karma Sutra guide and is happily "working" though it!

Good luck with your slimmer honeymooning!!!!!!!

    Xx

My habits have changed in that I stopped going to the gym (partly due to lack of energy which is now diagnosed as low B12 and im having injections) we were having takeaway most nights on weekends as well as eating out in the week. Takeaways ahve reduced now, as I cook more (to save money also)

He is 20.5 stone but doesnt care in the slightly, as with Doozer, his portions are massive and so have mine been, but im trying to control that now.

Hopefully my willpower will hold out this time, cos my wardrobe is ever so small now and I cant afford to buy all enw clothes lol!! x
