How do I improve the tast of my Protein Shake??

So, I've learned my body responds well to higher protein so I've decided to again attempt adding a protein shake. I've gone with body fortress's peanut butter and chocolate in attempt to better tolerate the taste. It's not bad, has the after taste of a nutty bar...but I'm looking to find a better flavor going down. I mixed 2 scoops with the directed amount of water and wasn't overly impressed.
Any suggestions to improve the taste?? If it adds a few calories I'm ok with that, would much rather be able to not mind drinking this protein shake as much.
Thanks in advance!!

That's why I recommend getting plain or unflavored so you can custom-blend your own without limitations. If you wish to finish off the current peanut butter and chocolate before moving on to another product, try adding half a banana or 1 tbsp of peanut butter with 1/2 cup of cottage cheese. You'd need to choose ingredients that would go well with chocolate and peanut butter which is somewhat limited, unfortunately. Adding the peanut butter may make it taste similar to a Reese's...
I just buy unflavored milk protein isolate in bulk and flavor it however I want. My base ingredients include: 3/4 water; 1/2 cup 2% cottage cheese; 1/2 avocado; 20g of protein powder. I just add whatever I want to get a certain flavor.
P.S. The best tasting commercial Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup is by TruNutrition Sciences, if that is your favorite - it's like a light Reece's.0 -
Thanks, I'm going to tough it out with this for now, but am thinking of using your choice so I'm not so limited. Although, I do have to say I added milk (1%) instead of water this morning and it's going down much easier....
Thank you very much for the information though, the whole protein drink is a new avenue for me.0
