Hello everyone it is day two!

Hello everyone this is day two in my journey to lose 50 lbs. I am 36 and a single mother of 4 and have always struggled with my weight. I am not only fighting genetics but also stresses of everyday life. I have discovered that I am a stress eater. :( I have spent the past three years focused on my children and my education and now that I have graduated (20lbs heavier) I have decided to focus on my health. It is amazing how the pounds can pack on so quickly. I have made a promise to myself to lose the weight and become more active. I am so happy that I found this website to help keep me organized! Any words of advice would be appreciated!

    :flowerforyou: Hello! The only suggestions I have is honesty when it comes to your food diary and make sure you drink your 64 oz of water daily... good luck on your journey to your new healthy lifestyle! :bigsmile:

    Welcome! In addition to the water, I would say fruits and veggies are so important. So many people seem to think they're fine if they stay under their calories, but that's only a small piece of the puzzle. What you eat is important, and you can pretty much eat anything, just balance it out. I eat chocolate just about every day, but I also eat at least 5 servings of fruits and veggies a day. If you have a soda habit, now is the time to kick it :)

  • Hi Kathie! My name is LaShonia and I am just starting my weight loss journey. I am looking for a couple of "cheerleaders" and team members to help and hold me accountable along the way. You story seems so similar to mine! I am a mother of 4 who has always struggled with weight. I have really felt OK with my health up until this last weight gain. I get out of breath so easy, am breaking out more, and other small health issues that could lead to something big. Let me know if you are willing to cheer each other on! Hoping you are well on your way to your target....
