Higher Protein Diet

Hi all-
I used to be a non-meat eater and now after my pregnancy I crave it all the time! I've actually found that that's why I seem to be losing at a faster rate than ever before without killing myself in the exercise department. I notice when I keep my protein grams up I crave less in general and have more satiety during my day. I also have more energy and don't have to worry quite as much about carefully counting each and every calorie. I don't want to completely become a "low-carb dieter" but I do notice quite a few benefits to increased protein! Has anyone else found the same thing? Do you have any amazing low-carb/sugar-free or low sugar foods that you love?
Thanks in advance!!

I do even better when I add a whey protein shake to really up my protein I always have had meat, but not always the healthiest options. I would try to stretch it with lots of carbs and sauce too. Now, I grill up a whole grill full and keep it sliced in the fridge for a quick salad or whole grain fajita.
I am not sure if it is just momentum or the protein, but I am not into candy much or much junk food at all!
My sugar free snack is a jello with "free" cool whip on top. Super low calorie!
My zumba instructor told me she doesn't track calories she eats when she is hungry and eats fruits vegies and meats. She has carbs when she isnt' losing weight or on her cheat day/meal.0 -
Yes. It is faily widely accepted that high protein is the way to go. If you want a good balance just get minimums of 1g pro\lb of LBM, .45g fat\lb of LBM and the rest can be whatever mix you like. All carbs will be fine unless you are really insulin resistant or have low insulin secretion.0
