    ....but please give credit where credit is due. I wrote this in the shower at the YMCA several months ago and it has helped me stay focused when the times got tough. Basically, this came after a family member and confidant whom I had hoped I could lean on accused me of "changing" and being "obsessed." Really this is my response to her demanding question "Why???"

    I want to run and not jiggle
    Wear a slinky dress and not wiggle.
    I want to see light between my thighs
    And buy boots in normal calf size.
    I want to dance and have fun
    And not be "Right there - the fat one!"
    I want to still  be rockin' skinny jeans
    When my kids are in their teens.
    I want to be fearless when I'm nude 
    And have a charming, sunny attitude.
    I want to go on a cruise and lie on the beach
    And fly on a plane without buying two seats.
    I want to turn heads when I walk in the room
    To my husband, be the sun and the moon. 
    I want a healthy, happy, long life 
    And be a better mother, best friend and wife.

    Thank you so much, you hit the nail on the head with this and with your reason for writing. I had put my family (husband and children) first for so long I didn't even know who I was. Now that my kids are grown I want to find me. I started at 208 and am down to 174 and would love t see what 135 feels like. For now, being a size 12 is the smallest I have been since my freshman year of high school...I am 40 years old. Time for me.
