Weights: rest weeks?

So I've been hitting the presses and pullups hard over the past 7 weeks. Pulled a back muscle and although it's feeling much better after a few days I'm going to spend the week doing cardio and stretching. Biceps and tris feel fine as do legs and abs. But maybe it's better to rest everything for a week? Just do cardio and stretch....no abs or leg work either?

If your back is messed up you probably shouldnt' do your squats, or at least, do them light.0
