eating back calories burned

How important is it to eat back the calories burned in a workout to lose weight? I usually burn between 300-500 calories a day working out (running and riding my bike to work) but I find I'm not hungry enough to eat back those calories, is that bad if I want to lose weight?

I eat most of mine, most of the time.
Two hand fulls of trail mix would be at least 300 calories. Where it's bad or not I don't how much you eat per day so I can't comment.0 -
I guess that just seems backwards to me, if I'm trying to lose weight don't I want a deficit in calories?0
