Hi! I'm 16 years old and have struggled with weight loss for a while. Right now, I'm at a healthy 135 lbs. at 5'7. I'd like to lose 5-10 lbs. and I really don't have a time limit. I just want to get it off and keep it off. I run 5-10 miles 3 days a week, do 30 day shred every day, weight training 3 days a week, and I do miscellaneous exercise videos on pop pilates throughout the week. I eat around 1800 calories everyday (nutritionist told me to.) I am maintaining. Should I be losing weight? Am I doing enough? Should I eat less? Thank you! xoxo

If you just do what you are doing you will be fine.... Don't change anything.... if anything up your cals by 200-300 to support good energy consumption with your activity.

    Other than that

I'll throw in mine, too. NO. You look terrific, sweetie, and sounds like you're being really healthy. Healthy and fit is the most important thing, not the number on the scale. Just keep doing what you're doing.

    And... NO.

You should increase your calories with all that exercise! If you try to lose any more weight you would probably lose muscle since I can't imagine you have much or any fat left to lose.

You don't need to lose any weight. You are at my lowest weight ever, while being two inches taller than me, for reference. :)

Just keep on staying fit, eat healthy, and eat enough to support your exercise.

At 16 you are still growing.

Don't lose any more, if you are maintaining whilst you should be gaining from natural growth, then technically you are losing, if that makes sense.

you are young, enjoy being a child, don't obsess over weight, there is plenty of time for that when you are older.

Just concentrate on being fit, healthy and strong.

Let me second that... No- right now your weight is in the normal range and your BMI is 21.2. The normal/desired BMI range for your height/gender/age is 18.5 to 24.9. Also, if you are working out a lot (running, lifting weights etc) you probably have a lot of muscle mass for your age (and gender) and muscle cells are heavier more than fat cells. So, this could impact your weight. If you diet and lose to much weight you could end up burning muscle protein instead of fat. What you could do is try to figure out what your body fat percentage is; women's body fat percentage to be healthy (hormones are stored in fat) needs to be higher than a man's. If its too high you could lose a few pounds but I suspect given your workout routines its probably on the low side of normal. Take a look at this reference to see what your percentage should be and why (1).
