Live strong is a reputable site.. It is a "Fight Against Cancer Charity" Founded by or at least is a spokesperson Lance Armstrong.

Saying something is "reputable" by quoting Wikipedia is kind of an oxymoron. Just sayin...0 -

This thread makes me sad. Livestrong.com is NOT reputable. I'm a Nutrition Science major, and there's a whole lot of false information on there. It's full of snake oil and even promotes useless and potentially dangerous supplements. These sites are a pain in the *kitten* when I'm doing nutritional counseling because people read them and think they know what's up. I have to struggle with them when they take me to task on it. I hear about government regulations being crap and have to convince them that no, it's actually legitimate science backed advice.
And about Demand media-it's a content mill, with all its info regurgitated from other news sources. The writers are paid by article and turn them out as fast as they can, and there is no incentive to fact check. It's pretty pathetic. They'll often put a legit journal article in their reference section when it actually refutes what their article says.0 -
what does "broscience" mean?
Broscience is the predominant brand of reasoning in bodybuilding circles where the anecdotal reports of jacked dudes are considered more credible than scientific research.
Broscience in action:
"Bro, you gotta slam 40-60 grams of waxy maize plus 20 grams of BCAA within 7 seconds of finishing your last set of squat rack curls. Otherwise, you'll go straight catabolic."
