OMG... I made this this morning and it's amazing! Seriously felt like I was indulging, but I wasn't! :D

Ingredients:

2 slices Light Wheat bread (I use Schwebel's-- it's the 35 calorie/slice kind)
1/4 cup skim milk
1 egg white
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. Splenda or Stevia
1/8 cup sugar free breakfast syrup (I used Aldi brand)

1. Heat nonstick frying pan on med. heat so it gets hot while you're preparing the toast.
2. In a bowl, combine milk, egg, vanilla and Splenda (or Stevia). Mix with a fork until it's all incorporated.
3. Dip bread into milk-egg batter on both sides and place into hot frying pan.
4. Sprinkle cinnamon on the toast (just on the wet side while the other side cooks).
5. Cook on medium heat for approx. three minutes per side or until it's golden brown.
6. Serve with 1/8 cup sugar free syrup.

Super NOMS! :D

125 calories, 1 gram of fat, 6 grams of fiber, 10 grams of protein, 1 gram of sugar!

Enjoy!

It's the maple syrup you buy at the grocery store near the pancake mix. The sugar free stuff looks and tastes pretty much the same but it's a little thinner. :)

It's hard to find in the grocery store, but if you can get the Smucker's brand. I think it's the best, and closest consistency to regular pancake syrup.

a lot of nonstick pans aren't supposed to be left on the heat with nothing in them.
