Does anyone have any foods, recipes, etc that give you a "boost" of energy that are also low calorie? I tend to eat more when I feel sluggish and I would love to find some foods that would get me over those "humps".

Thanks so much!

    5-10 carrots
    5 whole peanuts
    6-11 almonds
    mini box raisins

Usually I mix peanuts and raisins and keep them as a snack = 150-180 cals
mix the almonds a carrots for a snack = 100-130 cals

Also try peanuts butter or cheese on crackers
  • bananas are good because the sugar that they contain is easily converted by our bodies into enegry.
A low-sugar granola bar would be a good idea, or a handful of granola with low-fat yogurt.
Whole wheat crackers and low-fat cheese

Essentially, complex carbs are going to give you the most energy 'bang' for your caloric 'buck'. Mix it with a little protein and you've got a great snack.

X2.. healthy carbs and or healthy fats are the way to go.
