My friend bought me some honey he had made from his own bee hive..I love honey on seeded bread. Is the homemade kind of honey better than the shop bought stuff? Also I have no idea of cals etc so how cn I log that?

I would just log it as honey - maybe choose a nice brand of honey thats not got 'extras'. But cal wise probably all much of a muchness.

keep googling. local honey is the best for your body. I agree. Just use one that doesnt have extras.

Honey is one of the better sweet things out there for you. it doesn't cause a spike in blood sugar the way refined sugar does. If it came from your friends farm, even better! Local beekeepers usually don't process or refine their honey. I personally eat it straight off the comb.

I'm fairly sure the store bought vs. regular honey is similar in calories.

I personally prefer the locally made honey compared to mass produced farmed ones because local honey helps build immune system vs. allergies so it is more beneficial imo
