when to eat

I am wanting to know if it is best to eat something before or after exercising? I am a morning person so I like to jump out of bed and start exercising. Is it best to exercise on an empty stomach or should I eat something light before hand?

    This is a good question. I asked something similar earlier today in reference to lifting specifically. I'm giving it a try where I do my weight training program on an empty stomach but will eat before doing my cardio workout for better performance.

    I think the answer to your question is a matter on what works best for the person. If you like to workout on an empty stomach, then by all means give it try. If you aren't seeing the results you want, then it may be time to change your tactics and try adding in a little something to eat before exercise.
