Question about Protein

So, obviously I'm trying to lose weight, however I want to gain muscle at the same time. So, my question is..I know that if you are trying to gain lean muscle you should eat around 1.25 grams of protein per lb of body weight..minus the fat. Is that still true if you are trying to lose weight?

Hey,
Muscle weighs more than fat, so if you are trying to lose fat but gain muscle it is far better to measure your progress in inches aswell. Some weeks you will have lost body fat but it won't show on the scales which can be disheartening.. your weight will go down but the inches will tell a better story!
A personal trainer advised me that however many KG you weigh for example 70kg is how many grams of protein you should eat in a day so 70g. Its a healthy guideline which won't prevent any fat loss infact the more muscle you build the more fat you burn.
Hope this helps!
