Do you log calories when you do strength straining?

I am doing a "functional" strength straining program, currently things like pushups, dips, lunges, sit-ups will be adding more exercises and plyometrics as it progresses.

I read that you shouldn't wear your HRM and log calories if you are doing very isolated muscles groups, but should if it uses a large number of muscles (ie squat jumps count as "cardio" bicept curls do not)

I've been wearing my HRM when doing the strength training and was surprised by how low the calorie counts are, since I feel myself getting sweaty, my muscles burning, and my heart pounding but it turns out the heart rate is actually much lower than during an easy jog. I calculate like 70 calories more than BMR during 1/2 hour of strength training today but over 200 in a 1/2 hour jogging yesterday.

What do you do? Do you count any calories burned during strength training?

Under cardiovascular training there's an option for strength training that I found is fairly accurate, as it states that I'm burning more doing my lifting than my cooldown walk, which is accurate.

Oh, good to know! I thought that was just for tracking progress, didn't realize it added calories.
