To all you teenage girls out there...

It really is possible to lose the weight. I have been overweight basically my entire life. I have tried many different diets, exercise plans, and none of it seemed to work, I was still overweight.

In school I was the chubby girl. I had friends but was insecure and unable to put myself out there. In high school I never had a boyfriend, never went on a date. Not necessarily because the boys didn't like me... but because I was too insecure to let myself even think that they would like me.

I started my final weight loss journey at 214 pounds 1.5 years ago. I started eating right and exercising. I wasn't perfect, I still had off days and the weight came off VERY slowly, sometimes I went weeks yo-yoing between the same few pound. Then I decided it was time to get serious. I was starting college soon and I wanted to be as close to my goal weight as possible. I logged my calories everyday and exercised.

Today I weighed in at 169.6 pounds. Almost 45 pounds lost. I'd still like to lose a few more, but I'm really close.

So to all you teenage girls out there trying to lose weight, just know that you can do it. It won't be easy, some days you won't like yourself, but when you finally do it, you will feel amazing

At 18 years old, I am finally a success story!!!

I do an hour long weight workout once or twice a week, and have definitely put on muscle since I started.
  • Well done on losing weight! You don't have too stand back for anyone a bit skinnier than you.

Keep up the good work! :)

    Wow! Amazing history, very encouraging!

As a 18 years old girl, I can relate to your history completely in mostly everything what you said.
Sometimes I think I´m going to be this way all my life, but I don´t want to though. I just started my weight loss journey and I can only wish that this commitment I have will keep going until the lasts bits.

    Thanks for sharing :)
