Fat Transfer Augmentation Surgery

Once I reach my first main goal weight of 150lbs I was going to consider some surgeries to fix some of my problem areas (Excess skin, breast lift, etc.). I have looked through many of the threads made on this subject but none mention Fat Transfer Augmentation. Basically from my understanding it is like getting an implant only you use your own body fat from another location, hence "transfer". I am curious if anyone knows anything about it or has gotten it done? I do know I am getting a breast lift as one of my after weight loss surgeries but after looking into things more and stumbling across the fat transfer augmentation I am also considering that.

I don't personally have experienc, but I do have a friend who after being diagnosed with breast cancer opted for bilateral mastectomy and reconstruction using fat transfer. I know that she was in pain for a long while after (recovering from major surgery, mostly), but was happy with the end result. And I know that she looks fabulous for someone in her early 60's whose gone through some pretty hefty stuff. She is also super careful with what she eats and keeps up her physical activity.
Don't know if that helps, but if I wasn't blessed/cursed with a large chest I'd rather use my own tissue instead of silicon or other 'foreign' material! But I will definitely be looking into a lift if I can stay at my goal weight for over a year, so I get that!

That helps a lot, thank you!

I would be getting a lift as well so I am hoping both could be done at the same time. I am most worried about how the Fat Transfer Augmentation holds. If you continue weight loss will they go back to normal or would the fat be treated as everything else?

You said she makes sure to stay physically fit. Are they holding up well with weight loss for her?

i think if it was more successful and less painful that it might be more popular, ive only heard of it being done a handful of times. if it was as easy as taking fat from your gut and putting it places you want, a lot more people would be doing it. lol but i'm with you on the boob lift. i'm going to *kitten* my assets when i hit my GW but i'm mentally preparing for my boob job when i hit 30 lol

You can have the fat from my *kitten* any day, love. I have plenty to spare.

Well It's been over 5 years and I don't see her often, but I'd say that things are holding up well for her from what I've seen. Again, it wasn't that she had a weight problem, she was pretty fit before. I think she's really careful mainly because she wants to keep the cancer away.

And I sure wish there were a transplant list for excess fat like there is for organ transplants! I know a few friends who I would share the love around with gladly, and they would be happy to take the donations!!
