Hey guys, just curious if any of you who have reached major milestones rewarded yourself with each goal you hit to stay motivated? I grew up thinking food was a reward and we always celebrated occasions with food so I need a little help on ideas of what I could reward myself with after each 10 lb loss, something to look forward to! I was just curious to see what ideas every has to share.....I would love to know!

When I started my journey to health I used to think things like "When I get to x lbs I'm going to go & eat a piece of cake". How ridiculous of me. After a while it dawned on my that it would be better to use experiences or things. I started with little things like books or jewellery. When I get to my big goals I have a kayaking trip, a night flying lesson over San Francisco, and a clothes shopping trip (when I get to my goal weight).

The weight coming off is motivation enough for me! That and being able to buy smaller and smaller clothes! I started at a 22, and wore those jeans until they were pretty baggy... Bought a size 18, but returned them for a 16 right away. Then when I was able to buy a 14, I was estatic until I found that I could where the 12! Now I am wearing jeans in a size 10 and I have a pair that are size 8!!!

Trust me... the idea of being able to get in to the next size down is motivator enough! Although I have to say that when I can comfortably fit a solid 8, I'd be a pretty happy camper!

I have about 60lbs to lose and decided to break it into smaller goals of 10% weight loss and have rewards at the end. My first one is a massage and the second one will be a new tattoo. Also I pay myself $1.00 for everyday I work out and for every pound I lose, so I have money saved when I hit my goal.

After I lose my first ten kgs, I'm going for a full body massage.

Not sure about the rest yet :p
