Question about cashew calories in the database. Why do the cashews that I have that are raw (I think) with no salt have a serving of 1/4 cup be 220 calories (namebrand Eilliens), but other options for raw cashews, 15-20 of them are half the calories? I know I'm not eating 30-40 cashews at a pop.

I've had some of Eilliens almonds and peanuts and they had a higher calorie count due to the cottonseed oil they use. The other ones with a lower calorie count don't have any additives.0

Raw cashews are about 150 calories per ounce (28g). Does the bag say what they are per ounce? It sure sounds like the Eilliens cashews are not raw (nothing added). They must at least be roasted in some sort of oil.
Look at the ingredients on the package. If it says anything other than "cashews", they aren't "raw".0 -
