Is my FitBit over estimating?

I just got my FitBit yesterday. I'm sick today, so I barely moved all morning. It isn't even noon yet, and my Fit Bit is claiming I burned 757 calories. I usually have to exercise really hard for over an hour to get that. Now I've been eating and adjusting my calories for when I exercise. If I am "burning" more being pretty much bed-ridden, does that mean my Fit Bit is overestimating my calories burned, and I should not eat that, or does it mean I've been under eating?
(BTW, if you look at my food diary, it's messed up right now because I'm sick, and I've been living off liquid foods, honey, cough drops, and chocolates.)

I had one for a week and it seemed like it had me burning tons of calories but when I worked out it only burnt 20. I sent it back  Good luck with it0 -
You burn calories just by sat down & breathing!!... Hence why by midday you were at whatever number of calories you were at!!.. It's not faulty & is very good on estimating calories burned0

If you know your BMR, you should be at half of that at noon time if you do not get out of bed! My BMR is about 1800, so I would have 900 calories burned by noon. Even on my rest days (which lately have been VERY restful! LOL) I will tend to get extra calories burned via fitbit and there are days when my steps are under 4000.0
