Thanx for the responses so now I wont feel guilty,
Ahh, Blue Moon. I was going to grab those last weekend but went with Wachusett instead.0 -

Drink drink all day! Just don't think while you're eating. B/c your body will put the food you're eating to the side, or store it s fat, while your body trying to rid of the alcohol. That's how you get fat. It won't effect muscle growth though. If it does, barely!
Um. What?
Sorry quick response. I meant, do not drink while you're eating. I did this for almost two weeks before and it did not effect my muscle growth, nor my weight.0 -

if you average about one drink a day, you'll be fine.

I love Vodka.. and Wanda!! LOL0 -
I have on average 1-2 a day... but not every day... just an average. I would never give up my beer completely. I enjoy it too much.0

I love to drink alcoholics.
Darla... ? Is that you... ?0 -
Sorry - did you say occasional??
Like only once or twice a day?
He he, well I manage a winery. I have to taste the wines each day and then also get involved with tasting and blending new wines. For me, it is an occupational hazard. But I log every glass. My daily 'new bottle' tastes are so small, I just allow 30 calories for them, but everything is logged.
For me, this 'diet, is a lifestyle change not a restrictive short term fix. I love red wine and so I make it fit into my plan instead of being scared of it.0 -
I cut back from 6 days a week to 3-4days a week, but I still have 5-10 alcoholic drinks a week. I fit them into my calories which is especially easy to do on weekends when I tend to be pretty active. It is probably better for you if you dont, but so what? Some people fit in a piece of cake, or pizza, or bacon, or mac and cheese or whatever every once in a while and I fit in my wine..0

What if you don't drink? How does one get fat that way?0 -
Pinot grigio! Just on the weekends! Just the one! Bottle that is.0

I totally get it....
... I don't drink often, but sometimes I just get the urge for a drink. This afternoon I was just craving a drink....so I couldn't help myself and found Smirnoff c*cktail 'Long Island Ice Tea' at the pub. Sure, I drank the whole bottle, but it's been close to 3 months since I drank last, so I have no guilty feelings.
I'm happily buzzed right now.. :drinker:0 -
I just have smaller meals during the day if I know I'll be drinking that night. For example, tonight I have a dinner reservation at this really nice italian restaurant and I know I'll be tempted to indulge in a glass of wine, so I'm only having half of a bagel for breakfast and a garden salad with half a chicken breast for lunch. Which will leave me with enough extra calories for dinner and wine0
