hey guys! i'm starting school this next week, and a lot of my classes are condensed into particular days (11 hours of class on mondays! eeuughh)
anyway, due to this, i'll be needing to bring little tupperwares of food along with me, but i can't really think of many meal ideas aside from sandwiches and salads.

what are things you guys like to bring along with you to school/work/what have you? i needs me some ideas!

  • Any and EVERYthing fits in tupperware :) So really.... you can take anything with you. Just get an insulated lunch bag and maybe throw a freezer pack in it. So now you are no longer limited yay. Fruit, any leftovers.. anything!
  • I always pack a lunch and I use a portion of my desk as a pantry. LOL! Here are some things I like to have on-hand:

    * Almonds
    * Dried figs or dates
    * Protein or Granola bars
    * Good dark chocolate (a square or two in the afternoon does it for me)
    * Nestle Skinny Latte and Skinny Capuccino
    * Fresh fruit
    * peanut butter
    * canned soup
    * canned pork & beans
    * apple sauce (I like the raspberry apple sauce, individually portioned, no refrigeration needed)
    * carrot sticks and humous
    * cheese (babybel or laughing cow, individually portioned)
    * canned tuna

    Good luck!

    I take my breakfast and lunch to work every day. Check my diary.

    I've said it before and I'll say it again - I LOVE my food thermos. It fits 500ml and I bring home made soup every day, just cook up a batch on Sunday. This week I had chicken/tortellini and next week is Caldo Verde.

    This week I have also had (for snacks): 1 boiled egg and 30g of my own trailmix (brazil nuts, almonds, dried cranberries, dried apples), small piece of cheese (25-30g), satsumas and apples for my snacks. If my soup is lower calorie and lack a starch (eg. mushroom or minted pea soup) I might bring in ricecakes or a small wrap to round out my meal. In other weeks I have brought small yoghurt pots, carrot sticks and hummus and a variety of other fruits.

    You can check out my diary if you like. I always pack morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack and I only eat what I bring (with the exception of being offered fresh fruit if I feel it fits in my calories like today's 2 strawberries).
