Low-impact exercises?

Does anyone have some suggestions for low-impact exercises I can do to ease back into fitness? I suffer from fibromyalgia, so anything too strenuous right off that bat typically ends with me on the couch for the next few days. So it's pretty counterproductive in the long run. I'd just like some light activity suggestions so I can work my way up to more intense exercise. Thanks in advance for any input!

Medicine ball training.
Interesting, I'll look into that. Thank you!0 -
Walking, hiking, medicine ball, step aerobics. I would say look at walmart or target for a step aerobics work out video.0

all kinds of options...circuit training will give you a great workout with minimal impact on the joints....also the turbofire dvd has a low impact option in their workouts....if you want the best possible fat burning exercises doing aerobic and anaerobic during the week will burn calories like crazy0

I'm limited to low-impact exercises at home as well, but have found that it's not as restrictive as it seems.
Right now, I'm doing 30DS, but modify the high-impact cardio moves. Instead of all that jumping, I'll do modified jumping jacks, side steps while raising my arms, punches, etc. I also do kickboxing DVD's, but don't kick too high or jump around.
You can do hula hooping, do some of Leslie Sansone's Walk at Home videos, jump on a rebounder, or step aerobics. If you have stairs in your house, you can even just walk up and down them for a good workout.0 -

water!!! water aerobics is gr8 for low impact.. if you belong to a gym that has a pool or?? or even go online and see about your community having classes (cheap or free at times) and its summer so should be some :bigsmile:0 -
Try "Walk Away the Pounds" with Leslie Sansone. Fairly simple moves, entertaining, and I got descent results from it. She has a variety of videos. I recommend the one mile for starters. Good luck!0
