Hey everyone-
What's the verdict on fish oil and flaxseed oil supplements? Should I take them? If so, suggestions, please. Thanks.

You should look into Chia Seeds. I started using them recently and really love them. They have lots of omega 3's, and you don't get the fishy breath from the fish oil. Also, I think they taste a lot better than flax seed. I add 1 tablespoon to my salad at lunch and it tastes like adding in some nuts.0

Better to get the nutrients from the actual food. There's a lot of chemical interactions within the foods that seem to "activate" the benefits, and usually the effect is muted when a component is isolated to supplement form. Maybe in the future, we'll have more effective supplements, but for now there's a whole lot we don't know.0

The only supplement I take is fish oil. I subscribe to the Michael Pollen advice about that. He recommends fish oil if you don't eat a lot of fish and I don't.0
