I had to eat out today and had this for lunch. I am trying to figure out how many calories I was over today....*had a bad day and binge eating to the point it goes over calories intake so much, I don't know how many though*

It's Poach Sea Bass, with like a cupful of spinach or so and 4 small scoops of potato about the same size of watermelon scoop. :(

Also is this bread passable as a good whole wheat bread because it is the only brand around where I live that have nutritional info on it. The rest are from local bakery shop and another better brand are being on sales far away from my place..

where did you eat at which restaurant?
  • What a nice choice of lunch!

Just log each thing one by one, making reasonable guesses where you need to.

Fish - Salmon, coho, wild, cooked, moist heat - 3 oz
Potatoes - Boiled, cooked without skin, flesh, with salt - 4 small
Spinach - Cooked, boiled, drained, with salt - 1 cup

you said you have the nutrition for the bread, so enter it in.
log the butter if you ate some.

add some quick-add calories for the sauce.

    Not so bad, eh?

That's not a bad lunch at all! I think you chose pretty well!

And Barbellina has the right approach here--just log the components one by one and you'll get the total.

It looks like a cream sauce on the plate, so I'd guess 1-2 tablespoons of cream and call it a day on that.
  • Have you tried looking on the restaurant's website for the nutritional stats for this meal?

    Hi

It's a local mom and pop place and they don't have nutritional data there. I also don't know the detailed ingredient of the cream sauce. Yes, the food is nice except that I thought the didn't come with roll and butter, so I ordered a whole wheat butter croissant. Then after I waited a long while+I skipped breakfast today, so I got hungry and ate a bit of croissant and a lots of other crab filled food, they served me a plate with this roll. I had a lots of carb today, and got panic and tried to counteract it with protein, had about 150 gram of almonds-the whole can and a 100kcal pouch of fish snack. *Went over calories for like +700kcal today* :explode:

I understand your frustration with going over, I really do.

But try to keep in mind that one bad day here and there is not going to ruin your weight loss. Weight loss is about changing our habits over time. If you're having more "on track" days than "off track" days, you're going to still lose weight. Maybe slightly more slowly than you would have otherwise, but you'll still lose it.

When I have a day like this, I try to jot down some notes about how I was feeling in the "Food Notes" portion of the food diary, so I can begin to understand why and when I go off track.

Would you feel better if you did some exercise to burn off some of the overage? Even a good walk would earn some calories back.

    Hang in there!

I tried to burn more today but I don't know how much it will help. Actually, I am trying MY HARDEST to maintain+reset m metabolism by eating more right now but this....is just...too much kcal, it is wayy over my TDEE . :explode: :frown: I don't know how many cals that food set was. 400kcal+ :explode: Damn it, should have to stick with just a salad or grilled beef.
  • Now even I can't tell if you're serious.
