Hi! I am 25 and am a graduate student in Condensed Matter Physics & Optics (Queen's University, Canada). I should be submitting my Msc thesis in less than 6 months, after which I will be going to Germany to pursue a PhD.
I would love to join you and everyone else on this thread in their weight loss journey!
I have noticed, as I am sure many of you have, that it is quite difficult at times to maintain a low calorie intake (~1200 - 1400) while spending many hours on class or thesis work. I know that the brain uses a significant amount of glucose, and that intense studying and other academic activities can burn many calories. However, there does not seem to be an option for accounting for these calories.
How have all of you managed to diet effectively while maintaining a high level of academic functioning?0 -
