Fun 5ks

Let's compile a list of 5k races you have run or would like to run, preferably with some fun twist.

I'll start with these I'd really like to try:

This one's just a 5k with a mud pit at the end you have to crawl through. It's supposed to be good for your skin. :laugh:

In this one, at each km marker, the runners get dusted with colorful powder (you must wear white to enter).

This one has a series of obstacles you must traverse to get to the finish like, such as climbing cargo nets and jumping over flaming pits of dooooom.

I did The Color Run in Brooklyn yesterday! I can say it was seriously fun. Loved every moment of it.

Run For Your Life! The Zombie infested obstacle course!
I wanna do this one so bad! if they take your flags, you've died.
You can also volunteer as a zombie

I've done a mud run, super fun, lots of obstacles with a nice dirty mud bath at the end. I've done a zombie-ish run, way fun and I'm doing a warrior dash in 2 weeks.

I recently did Color Me Rad which is similar to the color run, it was a lot of fun! Kids did it also and people dressed in crazy outfits. I also did Mud Factor last weekend and it was a blast! I can't wait to do another one!

The Foam Fest looks like a blast! They already have dates for 2013 posted, just waiting for Richmonds date to be posted!

so far i've done:

rugged maniac (5k mud run)
color me rad (5k color run)

in two weeks i'm doing:

zombie escape at panic point (5k mud run with zombies - because the obstacles are just not enough i need zombies chasing me)
