Hi! My name's Kristen and I wanted to take the time to introduce myself here. I've been using MFP for about a year, but have just joined the online community. I didn't realize it was so big! It will be awesome to have people to talk to going through the same things I am.
I am currently 65 pounds lighter than my original weight. I started at 262 at my heaviest and am now down to 197. My goal is to be 150 (I'm a little bit taller) and I just want to be healthy. Looking good is a bonus
I have MFP to thank for my success. By using MFP, I have lost 40 pounds in the past year. It's definitely a miracle-worker!
Feel free to add me! I'm always looking for some new friends/some extra motivation!

I agree! I remember when I would eat whatever I wanted whenever I wanted, but when the calorie counting started, I was SHOCKED. Now that I know how many calories are in something, I definitely stay far away!
I'll do my best to keep up the good work, and good luck to you as well! 350 to 173 is AMAZING!0 -
Hi Kristen Great job on getting as far as you have so far! You have done amazingly and I wish you total success on reaching your goal and maintaining it. I have become a MFP addict myself and love the support! If you find yourself wanting another supporter, feel free to add me (as long as you will also do it both ways)... cause goodness knows I can use all the support I can get too0

Kristen,
You are already such an inspiration. I am a little over 200lbs and this is my heaviest ever. Not even when I was pregnant with any of kids did I weigh this. I have tried weight watchers and all that did was deplete my bank account, so I am hopeful MFP will be a better experience....because it's free.
My goal weight is 150-155. I know I can do it but the help of the MFP community. I am hoping after time and with positive results, my husband will get on the MFP bandwagon.
It's nice to meet you and I look forward to reaching my goal with MFP!!!
Thanks for introducing yourself and welcoming others.

Definitely! I will do my best! Still learning how the MFP community works. If I see someone going off track, I'll do my best to offer an extra kick of motivation!0
