Sugar-Fat????

Hi guys
On my log I count how much sugar I am ingesting with each meal etc.
If I go over my 26 allowed, will the excess turn into fat? Therefore will any excess in sugar just be added to my fat intake?
Not able to eat as much fruit as I liked anymore because they contain too much.
Help please?
Thank you!

There is a difference b/w good sugar and bad sugar if you are getting all your sugar from fruit I wouldn't really worry about it ... On the other hand if you have like a triple triple coffee 3 times a day then I would say cut that shiz out. Also it is best to have your fruit in the morning from what I understand ... That is my opinion though I am in no means a doctor.
To explain why ppl say sugar turns to fat, Sugar triggers insulin production that insulin runs to your cells and tells them to store fat.... IDK if that applies to all sugar intake but I always figured it meant raw/refined sugar.0 -
Have you had good results with a lot of fruit in your diet?
Should I ignore the sugar intake category and replace it with something like sodium as most of the sugary temptations I eat usually have fat or carbs in themso they will still be monitored, and I dont usually go over my sugar intake if i dont have fruit.. what do you think?0 -

I had great results with lots of fruit in my diet. I eat 3 servings of fruit a day and I no longer track sugar. Tede is right, there's natural sugars from fruit and then there's the dangerous stuff. In general, don't really worry about the sugars in fruit. I mean, fruits supposed to be good for you .0 -
ignore sugar intake. meet macro/micronutrient goals.
by the way sugars that aren't "natural" are not dangerous. and theres no good and bad sugar it's just sugar.0 -
While it is true that sugar is just sugar no matter what form its in, processed sugars cause your insulin to spike and won't keep you full as long as natural sugars in fruits which are accompanied with fiber and other nutrients. These are more slowly digested and stabilizing and therefore a better choice.0

insulin spikes aren't really relevant in terms of body composition.0

A deficit is a deficit is a deficit.
Eat below TDEE at a moderate deficit, 15-20% and youll lose fat.
Dont worry about sugar or sodium or any of that crap.0 -
The default settings for sugar from MFP are extremely low. Unless you have a medical condition like diabetes, tracking sugar that closely isn't all that necessary. Calories are the primary driver for losing weight.0

No one gets fat from eating fruit. That's how I lose weight. The more fruit I eat, the more I lose weight.0

Whats TDEE?
Thanks Im going to delete the sugar counting right now!0
