End of the day, lots of calories left

On Saturday and Sunday, I have a problem getting up to the amount of calories I'm supposed to be eating every day. I wake up very early for work (5:30), and am not hungry until close to 10:00, and then again close to 2:00. I get off work at 3, and get hungry again around 6, and go to bed early, around 9. By the time I get done eating at 6, I am generally around 600 calories below my BMR, but I am not hungry for the rest of the night. Anyone have any suggestions?

Today I made 3 scrambled eggs and a couple servings of hash browns just because I was over 1200 under my BMI. I wasn't hungry, but I needed calories. Now I have to stay awake for another hour or two until it digests.

Sounds as though you are going to have to start trying to eat something early in the morning on the weekends. It's a lot easier than trying to play catch-up at midnight!

drink a big smoothie at 530 when you get up.....it's not food so it's not like eating but you can load it up with protein powder and fruits and make it really tasty. Easily you could make a 300-400 calorie drink.

My best suggestion is to plan your meals for the day - if you enter them in your diary ahead of time you can see how many cals you have in there and it's easier to add something extra to each meal than to get to the end of the day with too many calories left over.

I agree that a protein smoothie for breakfast is a great idea. Make it really tasty so you'll want to drink it even if you're not hungry.

I also keep a granola bar in my purse on days that I know I will have a busy morning and will be rushing out the door. At the end of the day, if I have calories (and fat allowances) left over, I might have an unhealthy snack - but definitely not 600-1200 calories' worth.

A meal replacement shake might do the trick for you.. If you don't have time to eat, or not that hungry, then you can just drink the calories away, just add water and shake it. Take it in between meals or before bed.

My suggested meal replacement is this:
