yardwork

i do at least 2 hours of yardwork a week and my shirt is drenched in sweat, moreso than when i workout at the gym. is there something anyone would suggest under the "exercise" tab for this. thanks in advance.

    I use the information on this website http://caloriecount.about.com/activities-lawn-garden-ac8 and create various garden activities in "my exercises". I find that the calorie counts on MFP & the one linked to above agree where they overlap. I think some of the calorie estimates are way over though. An afternoon's weeding doesn't raise a sweat or tire me, but seems to count as a heck of a lot of calories burnt, so I don't eat them all back, maybe up to 50%.

    You can also enter your own under my exercises. As far as calories being accurate you could wear a heart rate monitor.
    I burned 904 calories (per HRM) last Friday getting rid of weeds. And ate all those delicious calories. :smile:
