Dang you scale.....
I'll start with my husband works for shipping company and weighs himself at work. The other morning he weighed himself at home and then tells me that the scale is off at the house. Not by a few but 12 lbs. So I couldn't stand it, went to store and bought another one. Bought one without anything fancy just weighs. 8lbs off for me. Crap. I've been using same scale so I have been 8lbs heavier whole time. I still have same weight loss, just was heavier than I thought. I'm not uber upset over this and I still have a lot to go so I am still weighing myself. (for all you anti-scale people ) I tend to gain all over and I can't tell if I have lost or gained until I have done a lot of either. Don't know if it was the type of scale I was using or what. It told body fat the whole shabang. New one- only weight. Just wanted to share.

Did you weigh yourself at the time you normally do? If not, that might be off. And if your husband weighed himself differently, his numbers will be affected also0

I'm fairly certain that my home scale is off too, by about 3 pounds. Thinking of buying a new one as well, but I'm not sure which one to get.0

I'm sorry!! That stinks! My parents used to always have the old school scales with the dial thing (instead of digital) and I used to get a hand weight and put it on there to figure out if it was off at all. I would adjust as needed to that. We have a simple digital one but it was pretty close to the one they put me on at the gym so I'm pretty sure it is right. Good thing to think about though!0

Yep I weighed myself at same time. Scale was off. Husbands work scales are dead on, they are calibrated all the time. That was whole reason I bought new one. I wanted to be fairly right. He weighed himself at home then work , numbers were within one pound. New scale is right.0 -

I know 8lbs is a lot. That's like another month of losing. Not that I'm too concerned with numbers, but I have no idea what I look like so I'm using scale numbers to help. I have goal of 140 so 8 lbs is a lot for close to goal.0 -

The one I bought was a WW scale. nothing fancy and was on sale at Kmart for $17. It properly weighed a bag of sugar, potatoes, and my husband...lol Can you tell this really bothered me?? I promise I'm not OCD or anything.0
