Motivational Rewards to Yourself?

I know that personally, I work better when I have small goals to meet.
When I first started this journey earlier this year, the hubby told me that for every 5lbs I lost, I would earn a new pair of shoes. You have to know me and my obsession with very tall heels. At first this was great. When I hit 5lbs lost, I got a really cute pair of turquoise/yellow/white pumps that were 6" tall. I hit the 10lb mark about a week and a half ago, but haven't gotten the shoes yet. I realized that I was at 13lbs gone, so I renegotiated the deal with hubby. I'm 2lbs away from the 15lb mark and I want a new piercing. So, I'm saving my 10lb reward to use with the 15lb reward. When I get down to goal weight, my big reward is a new, large tattoo.
Do any of you use short term goals and rewards as motivation to keep going. And if so, what do you use?

I love the idea of rewards for meeting my goals! A few months ago I achieved my weight loss goal and rewarded myself with my ultimate reward, I got new boobs! However since then I gained 10lbs back, I am very frustrated with myself seeing as how the last 10lbs were the hardest. I like your idea of a new tattoo, I may have to steal that idea and aim for a new tattoo!0

Mine have been trips or significant events - neighborhood pool opening, vacations, holiday parties, etc. Periodically, if I wear out or shrink out of my workout wear I will get a cute new workout outfit. Even though I workout in my dim basement by myself - it still makes me happy to do it in something cute.0

I am rewarding myself with a tattoo when I reach my goal weight. I don't have any tattoos yet, but I have been wanting one for YEAAAARS. It's going to be along the right side of my torso. :blushing:0

I'm like you....shoes are my reward. My reward when I hit my final goal is a new tattoo also, probably my chest piece.0

As of September 1st, I will have complete six weeks of eating healthier and not eating processed sugars. So I am giving myself a 90 minute massage. Think that is going to be my reward from here on out. Gives me a number to achieve outside of the scale0

My last weight loss journey (2004) I got a nice tattoo on my back....but now I have regained weight and am working again. Throughout I try to reward myself, but have a hard time actually DOING the rewarding. I like massages, pedicures, etc.
I did get the ultimate reward from my husband this weekend though - I had suggested earlier in the summer that when I reached 1500 miles on my bike (hybrid trek) that I could get a road bike. Well, I hit that goal much faster than I was expecting, and then felt bad and didn't want him to buy me a new bike yet. So last week I hit 2000 miles - still wasn't prepared to spend the $$ on a road bike, but the local bike shop had a grand opening this weekend, and he bought me a super road bike. It made my commute so much faster this morning - I had no idea it would be so much better!!!
Anyhow - that's part of my drive is rewards. I just need to learn to do it better.

Oh yeah, shoes for sure. I also found a great site for real corsets and treated myself to one when I got below 175, I also got a major haircut/highlights as a goal treat but shoes - my size stays the same no matter how much I lose!0

My reward will be a new sexy slinky back dress...but shhhhh! no one is supposed to know that0

Well......I had first planned to not get my next tattoo until i had hit my goal, then I said I wanted a new purse when I hit my goal, but then we went on vaca, and I ended up with a new purse AND new tattoo. Soooo, at this point in time, family pictures are my reward!! Only 8 more pounds to go!! And I'm gonna add some boudier portriats for the Hubz in to that as well. Yes I kinda had to bribe him to do new family pics.0
