Hi im new to this!! Been on it 5 days. My calorie intake is set at 1200 (Im 4ft8" and weigh 9st12lbs) However, Im eating good enough but at the end of the day i still havent reached that quota!! Especially then there's more calories added when i exercise!!! Should I try eat more to meet the calories quota or just continue eating healthy as i am???

    Eat more calorie dense food.

My opinion: Try to meet the quota (including exercise calories). Eat calorie-dense quality foods like lean meats, nuts, avocado, etc.

If you can't manage it, at least try to make sure you are getting the recommended amount of protein (and a little extra if possible) and all your vitamins and minerals.

I am having the same problem. Should I stick to my 1200 even though i gain an extra 400 for walking for 1 hour. If I dont eat them will my body think its starving or will i lose weight quicker. I am confused!!!
  • Its very confusing! To me, you do exercise to burn fat and lose weight! Why would you want to eat the calories you have just lost!! :noway:

In order to koose weight you have to create a caloric deficit in few terms if you exercise you can eat a part of the calories you burned but not all of them otherwise you won't drop weight and it will be only a maintainance diet, so stay under 200-300 calories per day on the total amount of calories burned, hope it helps...
  • ok thanks. Ive been eating around 800-900 so that would be 300 less than the recommended without exercise!!!!
