Need to lose 30----more

Hello! I recently lost 30 lbs on another program. Last week, the new doctor that I went to see about my back said that I need to drop 30 more and cut down my cholesterol and sugar. She says I am pre diabetic. I'm about to go on a trip this week and was going to join my other program again and do it online only. Still, it costs a bit to do it that way.

Long story short, a friend told me about this site and so here I am today. I will be getting into high gear after Labor day but for now, I'm showing myself around and getting familiar with how things work here.

Thanks for having me.

  • Welcome to MFP and its great to hear that you lost so much already! Im confident in your ability to loose the rest without a problem. Finding your niche with food, exerise, and logging is the key to success it seems. I've lost 75 and 58 to go. So maybe we can help keep track of each other. Either way I hope everything works out for you and that you find happiness in every day. :)

    Welcome, add me!
  • Wow Brilliantbrit! That's incredible! Woot! Woot! I love to give support but I also need a lot too. I'm pleased to be welcomed by you. Thank you. And Jazee, thank you! We CAN do this TOGETHER!

My BIGGEST problem is exercise. I have some physical challenges so right now, my exercise consists of walking 1/2 mile three times a day. I get dropped at work in the morning. Walk home and back for lunch (1 mile) and walk home in the evening (1/2 mi).

I'll talk about those "challenges" in another post.

hi tell me about the program u did to loose weight
  • Please consider being a friend to an insecure, anxiety-driven old worrywart. I hope that all who choose to be my friend will read my profile so you know where I'm coming from.

I have been a puddle of nerves for the last month or so because I don't think I'll ever feel well again.

Yes, I need to follow my own advice. Easy does it. Slow and steady. When I fall off the wagon, just pick my butt up and start again.

With a lot of encouragement and root roots, I can do this. Please help me.

Hey, Valleydachs! Great job on the first 30! I'm just starting on my first 30, so I will take encouragement from you. Walking is great exercise, especially if you do it consistently. I don't have the physical challenges you do, I just get lazy. That and I like to eat. ;-)
