there is a website: www.hundredpushups.com
there are also smartphone apps.
I started this 2.5 years ago and made it to week 3 then I don't remember what happened...LIFE I guess....
anyways I want to start it again.
Did the initial test tonight and got 20. that puts me starting at level 3.
Anybody else want to do this and track their progress in this thread to help keep us all accountable?

I'll do it, too! I am TERRIBLE at push-ups, but I've always wanted to get better. I'll be starting out at level one, and I do the knee push-ups, but hey, it's about progress right? Thanks for posting this. Let's go!0

Great hard work to everyone! I would love to do this challenge but my wrists are so bad and nothing I've tried helps to ease the wrist pain.

Hey guys,
I'll be tracking your progress. I am unable to do it at present, but would do it next year maybe. But I'll keep you guys all motivated0 -
i started 6 weeks ago, but then started doing body pump 4x a week, meaning i couldn't fit in the pushups 3x a week because i needed someeeee rest time...next week I'm moving to the US and I think i'll only do body pump once a week, so i can give this a go again! i got up to week 4 though, and I reckon i'd still be around there because I've been building up muscle with body pump so maybe I'll join you guys in like 2ish weeks!0

Count me in. I think push ups are one of the best and most versatile exercises out there. Will be checking this out tonight.0
-
I've been wanting to try that for a long while since I'm terrible at them (I just upgraded from wall push-ups to modified pushups woohoo!) I'll run the trial test thingy tonight.0
-
I started this awhile ago before I stopped, but I was doing push up on my knees and this go around I want to do them on my toes. I'll let you know what my initial test was later tonight.0

Sounds good, I'm in!! I'll start tonight after work!0

i've tried this twice. i think the first time i just became unmotivated, the second time i was getting really good at it but eventually my elbows were killing me and i had to stop. any advice?0

I started it 2 weeks ago. I just took the 2 week follow up test and did 30. Not bad since my initial test I only had 12.
To be totally up front, I can not do regular push ups yet (carrying 200 extra pounds will do that), so I am doing slanted pushups for now (45-55 degree angle or so). Once I finish the program, I am hoping my increased strength and lower weight will allow me to start the program over with regular push ups. If not, I will do the program again at a 25-30 degree angle and keep working at it till I can do standard push ups.
I would be more than happy to add anyone doing this program to my FL to keep each other motivated.
Also, I am doing the 200 squat program as well.0 -
If you go to the same website and scroll down a bit, you will find a tab to take you to a sit up challenge. It's a 200 sit up challenge, but you could take it as far as you want.
Edited because the quote was not right.0 -
This really sounds like fun.
I bookmarked the site for later, currently I'm doing P90x (only the strength training discs) and Shred in 30 in the days between my P90x workouts. There's already a lot push-ups in that one already.
I will start with this challenge as soon as I have completed P90x, I'm currently in week 3.0 -
Okay MissJacki .....I'm reluctantly in. I only say reluctantly because my fragile male ego has been crushed already, being beat out by every woman in the thread....LOL....this is ridiculously embarrassing. I have .....5, sheeesh. How long will this program go, just till you hit 100?
6 weeks huh. I guess I can embarrass myself for 6 consecutive weeks....lol. What the hell----
P.S. Are we starting right away...as in this week?0 -
Oh, the pull-up challenge sounds like even more fun.. because they are way harder for me0
-
I'm in! I tested at Level 4 so I'm starting on Week 3.0
