I just started using MFP about a week ago and so far I love it! I did Weight Watchers off and on for the last few years but I found the tracking to be tedious.

I'm 48 years young, married the love of my life 5 years ago, no kids, and I'm a special education teacher working with infants and toddlers. I'm just starting to check out the message boards here, hope to get to know some of you.

I want to lose about 90 pounds to be happy with my weight, even though that would still leave me above what's considered "ideal" for my height. I gained the weight very gradually (2-4 pounds a year for over 20 years) and I'm hoping it doesn't take as long to come off!
