Back on MFP and Need Friends to Keep Me Motivated

I was doing great and having the kids home all summer and dealing with work put me back in a 3 month food coma. I'm ready to get back to it, and do it right this time.

Friend requests would be greatly appreciated!! I seem to do better when I've got something to prove to people, hah.. It's true..

Can't wait to meet some new friends!!!

  • Good luck getting back on track. How much did you gain in the three month food coma????

I'm the same way!!! This is only my second day.. I'm a mother to six (9,7,6,4, and 2 year old twins). I started my weight loss journey at the beginning of the year and got off track.. got back on track at the beginning of August and then found this site! I can say in just two days I have found great motivation and even greater inspiration.. If you (anyone) don't mind a lot of updating and lots of encouragement feel free to add me!!

Today for example.. I wanted a cupcake.. I mean really wanted one.. There are 4 sitting on my counter top in the kitchen.. With just a few comments on my "Tell me not to eat that cupcake" post I was able to not eat it! There are still 4 cupcakes in my kitchen.. Not eating a cupcake is huge for me as 1)I was really sick today and just wanted some comfort food and 2) It's TOM for me and chocolate is what I WANTED! But I resisted all thanks to my new huge circle of friends I made!
  • I gained 12lbs. It feels like much more. I was running 2-5 miles per day and being full of energy, and a change of diet did me in.
  • I totally understand. I've got three kids at home and I'm a sucker for the sweets. It's hard, but you're right, having some support like this website helps a ton.

I'm in the same boat. Lost almost 40....been kind of MIA the last couple months and behaving badly, and have gained 15 back. And it's amazing because that 15 pounds feels like 50! Time to get back on track!!!

Dude, I feel ya... I've been back on MFP for two and a half weeks now. It was hard to get back on the wagon after falling off for eight months and regaining 15 pounds. :/ As discouraging as it is to fall off, as long as you get back on, it isn't over. Add me if you like.
  • Hey Ladies! its the same for me! I just never could devote time to work out,and so i was not motivated to eating right as well. Now i am sending my child off to pre school in a week, for 2 days a week. So i am going to devote that time to working out. No more excuses!! I always get pumped when i start, and loose about 10 lbs. Then i stop and gain it all back and a little extra. I need to think of it as a lifestyle change and not a diet!

I am the same. Last year I was a gym rat and felt really good.
My husband got a major promotion and I found that my gym time was taken up with all the other "stuff" that life throws at you.
I am totally jazzed to start back up on the bandwagon, and am making a life change not going on a diet.
I am in need of people to be accountable to and who will call a spade a spade and tell me how it is.

Add me if you want someone that says the way it is and expects the same.

    Cheers!
