Fruit and veggies?

Soooo I know this sounds crazy but a friend told me you really don't need to count fruits and veggies; she said you could basically eat your weight in them and not gain because they're so high in nutrition your body just uses it all up (or something like that). Is this true? I always count my fruits and veggies into my daily caloric intake diary.

not entirely true. Fruit does have frutose in it.... sugar. however I tend to think if you are very active and trying to eat healthy then several pieces of fruit a day has got to be better than a wopping huge muffin or some biscuits that has the same amount of "sugar".
salads... yes there is no fats but I still add them as they have other properties. same with the vegies there is fibre and some do have a 'natural' sugar content.
I think you would be struggling to eat your own weight in them lol all things in moderation is my motto!0
